Perry Township
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Elberon Avenue at 7:59 p.m. Sept. 13 for a reported neighbor complaint. The caller advised their neighbor was purposely revving a motorcycle engine in retaliation for the caller’s dog barking constantly. Officers spoke to both parties and warned the neighbor to cease his actions for the night.
— Samantha Montana-Ofca, 27, Columbiana, was cited for failure to yield after her vehicle failed to yield in the intersection of state Route 344 and Cunningham Road and struck a vehicle driven eastbound by Paul Cowan, 56, Columbiana, at 3:05 p.m. Sept. 13. No injuries were reported.
— Officers responded to the 1500 block of Egypt Road at 1:25 p.m. Sept. 13 for a report of illegal dumping. Officers did locate trash off the roadway and will be investigating.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Pigeon Road at 8:26 p.m. Sept. 11 for a reported barking dog complaint. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate any barking dogs in the area.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 4:51 p.m. Sept. 11 for a reported suspicious person in the area. Officers found a man matching the description, and advised he was working for a gas company and going door to door.
— Officers responded to the 110 block of Prospect Street at 7:15 p.m. Sept. 10 for a report of possible narcotics that were found by a playground. Officers found a small Ziplock baggie with a white crystal substance inside, officers bagged the substance and removed it from the playground.
— Officers on patrol in the area of North Lincoln Avenue and U.S. Route 62 were advised that a golf cart was stolen from Salem High School, and it was reportedly traveling north on North Lincoln Avenue toward the U.S. Route 62 four line. Officers found the person in question walking north on North Lincoln Avenue and stood by until no longer needed.
— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Georgetown Road at 5:21 p.m. Sept. 10 for a welfare check on two juveniles. Officers found both juveniles healthy and well taken care of and supervised by a relative.
— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 4:10 p.m. Sept. 10 for a trespassing complaint. The caller completed two trespass forms, and officers notified both people of the trespass notice and not to return to the property.
— Officers responded to the 1700 block of Harding Avenue at 2:50 p.m. Sept. 10 for a reported neighbor complaint. Officers spoke with both parties and advised them to be respectful of each other as neighbors.
— Officers responded to the area of Stewart Road and state Route 9 at 7:31 p.m. Sept. 9 for a reported reckless driver. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.
