–Officers responded to the 500 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 7:14 p.m. Wednesday for a trespass report. The caller advised she’d been instructed to contact officers if the man in question returned. Officers had the caller complete a trespass form, and had the man in question sign the trespass notice, advising him not to have any contact with the members of the residence.
–Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 5:26 p.m. Wednesday for a speak with officer report. The man advised that while driving through an alley connecting Ohio Avenue and Woodland Avenue, residents came outside to yell at him with baseball bats. The man was concerned and wanted to know if the residents would be held liable if damages were to occur to his vehicle. Officers advised him to contact police if anything escalates.
–The School Resource Officer was advised of an issue with two students who are brothers, one at Reilly Elementary and one at Southeast Elementary at 2:22 p.m. Wednesday. All information was gathered, and children’s services were contacted along with the prosecutor’s office and the issue is under investigation.
–Officers responded to the 500 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 2:32 p.m. Wednesday for a speak with officer complaint. The caller advised that she is in the process of filing a protection order against her ex, and that he walked past the residence she is staying at and was yelling then sent her text messages about her dog. The caller advised that there were no threats made but wanted a report on file for the protection order.
–Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 1:46 p.m. Wednesday for a report of suspicious activity. Officers were advised that a man and woman were going in and out of different yards in the area. Officers checked the area but did not locate them.
–Officers responded to the 200 block of East Ninth Street at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious person. The caller advised that a woman was sitting on the metal bridge scraping the pillars. Officers spoke with the woman and found they were doing community service.
–Officers responded to the 1200 block of East Sixth Street at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday for a reported runaway juvenile. The caller advised that her son had not gone to school and wanted to report him as missing. The caller filled out a runaway juvenile form and the juvenile was entered into LEADS.
–Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 8:32 a.m. Wednesday for a person to be removed. The caller advised a woman was causing a disturbance while juveniles were getting dropped off and wanted her trespassed. Officers advised her she had to leave the property, and that a trespass notice had been signed.
–Officers responded to the area of South Ellsworth Avenue at 11:03 a.m. Friday for a wellness check on a person walking near the railroad tracks. Officers checked the area and located the person, who is known to officers and did not need anything.
–Officers responded to the 1000 block of Cleveland Street at 9:59 a.m. Friday for a speak with officer complaint. The caller advised her father’s bank account had numerous withdrawals without his consent made by a person with power of attorney for the account. Officers advised the caller a report would be made.
–Officers spoke with a person by phone at 8:39 a.m. Friday for a report of a suspicious man in the area. The matter is under investigation.
–Officers responded to the 600 block of Vine Avenue at 8 a.m. Friday for a reported missing juvenile. The caller advised that her son was outside playing before school and when she came outside to get him to walk to the bus stop, he was gone. While officers were speaking to the caller a witness advised that he saw the juvenile get onto a Salem School bus. Officers were able to locate the bus and physically contact the driver and the juvenile.
–Officers responded to the 900 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 11:34 p.m. Thursday for a report of barking dogs. Officers attempted to speak with the owner, who was not home, and was able to locate a number to call and advised the person of the complaint, and he advised he would be home to handle the matter.
–Officers responded to the 200 block of Brooklyn Avenue at 9:18 p.m. Thursday for a report of loud music. Officers checked the area but did not hear any loud noise and everything appeared to be normal.
–Officers responded to the 600 block of East Fourth Street at 7:05 p.m. Thursday for a report of a person causing an issue outside a residence. When officers arrived, they had to contact a translator to clarify the matter and found that the person was intoxicated, screaming threats out in public. Officers advised them if the issue persisted, they would be arrested.
–Officers responded to the 1000 block of Superior Avenue at 6:49 p.m. Thursday for a report of several juveniles possibly damaging the outdoor gym equipment. Officers located the juveniles and found that they just did not know how to use the gym equipment.
–Officers responded to the 500 block of East Sixth Street at 5:14 p.m. Thursday for a reported intoxicated person. Officers spoke with the person who admitted to drinking alcohol, and they were given a warning for disorderly conduct, and a courtesy transport to their residence.
–Officers responded to the 600 block of West Seventh Street at 2:57 p.m. Thursday for a reported suspicious object. Officers located the object and found it to be a magazine to a firearm. Officers placed it in the lost and found at the police department.
