— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 12:49 p.m. Friday for a reported barking dog complaint. When officers arrived, they could hear the dog but were unable to contact the resident. The caller advised the owner was at work and he would talk to him about the issue when he got home.

— Officers responded to the 2300 block of Southeast Boulevard at 12:02 p.m. Friday for a reported person down. Officers stood by until the person was transported to the emergency room by ambulance.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of East State Street at 11:36 p.m. Friday for a speak with officer complaint. Officers were unable to locate the caller, and dispatch attempted contact with the caller, but he hung up.

— Officers on patrol in the 1400 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 9:11 a.m. Friday located an abandoned bicycle in the weeds. The bike was brought to the station and placed into the lost and found.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 9 a.m. Friday for a wellness check on a city resident. Officers were able to contact the person in question who advised they were fine.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 5:21 a.m. Tuesday for a suspicious person report. The caller advised that a man was seen on their security camera attempting to contact the business which was closed for the night. The caller wanted the man to leave the property for the evening and officers advised them to leave the property.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of East State Street at 3:58 a.m. Tuesday for a medical call. Officers stood by until they were no longer needed.

— Officers responded to a business in the 100 block of West State Street at 2:34 a.m. Tuesday for a reported person to be removed. An employee requested a man be removed after being in the business for a long period of time and presenting odd behavior. Employees had asked the man to leave, but he refused, and the business wanted the man to be criminally trespassed. The man was served a criminal trespass notice from officers and left the property after.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of South Broadway Avenue at 11:58 p.m. Monday for a report of a man urinating in public. The man was observed by officers on security cameras in the area committing the violation, and officers spoke with the man who did not deny the violation. The man, Joshua Schroepfer, 46, Salem, was cited for disorderly conduct and sent on their way.

— Officers on patrol in the area Waterworth Memorial Park at 11:26 p.m. Monday observed a vehicle inside the park after closing hours. The owner of the vehicle was located walking back to the car and he was advised of the park hours and left without incident.

— Officers responded to a business in the 300 block of Broadway Avenue at 9:05 p.m. Monday for a reported person to be removed. The caller advised that a man was sitting outside the business for a long period of time and wanted him to be removed due to closing for the night. Officers spoke with the man who became belligerent but calmed down after being given a disorderly conduct warning and was advised to leave the property.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of South Broadway Avenue at 7 p.m. Monday regarding concerns over an incident that took place that day at her daughter’s day care. Officers took the information and advised the caller to speak with the staff regarding the incident as well.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of South Howard Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Monday for a wellness check on a man sitting on some porch steps. Officers spoke with the man who appeared to be fine and wanted no assistance.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of East State Street at 11:25 a.m. Monday for an animal complaint. The caller advised there was a dog left inside a gray Ford Fusion. Officers located the vehicle in question with a woman and two small dogs inside. The vehicle was running with air conditioning on, and the woman was advised of the complaint.

— Officers responded to the area of South Ellsworth Avenue railroad crossing at 7:57 a.m. Monday for a report of debris on the tracks. A large dead limb was located and removed from the northmost set of tracks in the northbound lane of South Ellsworth.

— Officers observed two people walking around inside Reilly Stadium at 4:26 a.m. Monday after hours. The people were advised of the stadium hours.

— Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue and East Fourth Street at 2:38 a.m. Monday to assist Perry Township officers. Officers found that a person had been kicked out of the vehicle of a significant other and left on the side of the road. Officers assisted until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Prospect Street at 11:27 p.m. Sunday for multiple 911 hang-up calls. Dispatch attempted to call the number back but did not get an answer. Officers also attempted to make contact, but nobody answered at the residence. Officers did not observe anything unusual coming from inside.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Sixth Street at 10:37 p.m. Sunday for a reported trespass complaint. The caller advised that her ex-boyfriend was drunk, and she was afraid of him coming to the house and climbing through a window. She also advised that as of that morning the ex was starting to move out. Officers advised her that it was still his residence, and she would need to evict him.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Perry Street at 9:36 p.m. Sunday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that several people were talking around with flashlights around a vacant home. Officers found the matter was a misunderstanding between neighbors.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of South Lundy Avenue at 8:15 p.m. Sunday for a reported verbal dispute over property. Officers arrived and spoke with both parties regarding the incident and collected information. One half was trespassed from the residence.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 8:10 p.m. Sunday for a reported civil matter. Officers spoke with the caller who advised that she worked for the business for three weeks and had not received any form of payment and that the business had not paid her. The business advised that they needed a W-4 for her, and they would pay the caller. Officers advised the caller of her options.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Highland Avenue at 3:18 p.m. Sunday to assist Perry Township officers. The request for assistance was canceled prior to officers’ arrival.

— Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 2:05 p.m. Sunday who reported that his son’s bicycle had been stolen from the area of Sebo Stadium. Officers advised the caller of their options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Franklin Street at 1:02 p.m. Sunday for a 911 hang-up call. Officers were advised that it sounded like a young juvenile on the call. Officers checked several houses in the area and had no contact with the caller.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 10:59 a.m. Sunday for a report of suspicious objects. Officers located the items in question and gathered them for disposal at the police department.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 9:58 a.m. Sunday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers spoke with both parties involved who advised they got into an argument over family issues, with both advising the other threw a Band-Aid box at them. No injuries were observed, and the male half left the residence for the day.

— Officers responded to the area of Butcher Road and East Pershing Street at 9:43 a.m. Sunday for a reported road rage incident. The caller advised that the incident occurred outside the city and officers advised them of the appropriate agency to make a report to if he chose to do so.

— Officers spoke to a person by phone at 8:49 a.m. Sunday who advised that had been the victim of identity theft. The caller advised that she had received a W-2 form in the mail from a company she had never worked for. The caller advised further that she had found an unknown person had ordered checks from her bank in her name. Officers advised the caller of their options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers responded to the Foundry at 1:10 a.m. Sunday for a report of three men fighting and attempting to drive off. Employees advised that the men were also intoxicated, and the men were located in the parking lot across from the Foundry and the men were already on the phone looking for a ride before contact was made by officers, and they denied fighting with each other. They were able to find a sober driver.

— Officers assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with an OVI at the Salem Police Department at 11:54 p.m. Saturday.

— Officers responded to the area of Fair Avenue at 11:17 p.m. Saturday to speak with people that were allegedly fighting. Officers spoke with all parties involved and found the matter to be just a verbal altercation. All parties returned home for the evening.

— Officers responded to the area of Lexington Avenue and Continental Drive at 10:06 p.m. Saturday for a reported loud explosion. Officers checked the area but did not locate anything unusual.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Tanglewood Drive at 9:57 p.m. Saturday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers spoke to multiple people who advised they were having a party but were not aware of anyone fighting. Officers requested someone to go inside and get the involved parties and were made aware that they were in fact arguing. Contact was made and nothing physical had occurred.
