COLUMBIANA COUNTY MUNICIPAL
LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against James Wilson, 57, Main Street, Wellsville, was bound over to the county grand jury for a third-degree felony domestic violence charge for allegedly grabbing a woman by the shoulders, shoving her into the back of a couch and threatening to kill her on Aug. 12 in Wellsville.
He was fined $250 and sentenced to eight days in jail, with credit for eight days served, for violation of a temporary protection order for going to a Wellsville residence on Nov. 29, 2019 in violation of a protection order. He was also ordered to jail for 30 days, with credit for eight days served, for violating his probation on a charge of violation of a protection order for an incident June 19, 2019 in Wellsville. His probation was dishonorably terminated.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set for John White, 59, Campbell Road, Hanoverton, for fourth-degree felony improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle for allegedly waving around a loaded firearm on July 1 in Salem during a road rage incident while claiming he didn’t point the gun at anyone.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Nov. 9 for Alexander Morlan, 26, East Main Street, charged with third-degree felony failure to notify of residence or address change and misdemeanor possession of drugs for allegedly failing to notify the sheriff’s office of a change in his address on Oct. 11, which was required since he’s a registered sex offender. He allegedly possessed marijuana on Oct. 27 in East Palestine.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Nov. 6 for Bobby Bernstein Jr., 31, Stewart Road, Salem, charged with fourth-degree felony strangulation and domestic violence for allegedly punching a woman in the mouth, tossing her around the bedroom and placing his hands around her throat on Oct. 27 in Perry Township.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Nov. 20 for Brandi Pulver, 30, Bulgar, Pa., charged with fifth-degree felony improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle and misdemeanor endangering children for allegedly possessing a loaded firearm while intoxicated during a traffic stop with a child in the back seat on Oct. 28 in Columbiana.
A pretrial was set Nov. 9 for Justin Kernaich, 21, Monroe, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting a woman during an argument on Oct. 29 in Salem.
A pretrial was set Feb. 1 for Christopher Austin, 37, Anderson Avenue, Wellsville, charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting a woman during a domestic on Oct. 26 in Wellsville.
A pretrial was set Nov. 13 for John Douglas, 60, Mulberry Street, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly attempting to harm a woman during a domestic dispute on Oct. 29 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Feb. 1 for Meadow Iagulli, 23, Anderson Avenue, Wellsville, charged with domestic violence for allegedly trying to harm a woman after an argument in Wellsville on Oct. 27.
A pretrial was set Nov. 9 for Richard Vecchio, 61, state Route 164, Lisbon, charged with resisting arrest, obstructing official business and criminal trespass for allegedly trespassing at an apartment in Lisbon on Oct. 27 and ignoring several warnings to leave. Officers physically removed him and he resisted while being taken into custody. For an incident in Lisbon on Oct. 20 when he was publicly intoxicated, he was fined $150 for disorderly conduct.
A pretrial was set Feb. 1 for Jeff Shriver, 49, New Martinsville, W.Va., charged with two counts of telecommunications harassment for allegedly calling his former employer, Fillmore Freight, 30 to 40 times, on July 23, 2020, making threats and continuing to call on July 24, 2020 after being told to stop.
A pretrial was set Nov. 13 for Dillon Everhart, 22, Lincoln Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting a woman in East Liverpool recently.
A pretrial was set Jan. 4 for Ian Pagan, 18, Youngstown, charged with possessing a defaced firearm and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle for allegedly possessing a gun with the serial number scratched off during a traffic stop Oct. 28 in Columbiana.
A pretrial was set Nov. 6 for Stephen Perry, 29, Boardman, charged with violation of a protection order for allegedly violating a protection order by contacting a woman by phone calls, text messages and social media on Sept. 16.
Donald Cornwell, 23, North Market Street, Lisbon, was ordered to jail for 60 days for violating his probation for aggravated trespassing and two counts of assault for an incident Oct. 16, 2021 when he entered a Lisbon residence without permission and assaulted two people. His fines and costs were ordered sent to collections. He’s still to have no contact with the two victims.
Russell Pucci, 62, Beaver Falls, Pa., was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course. Pucci responded to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for money, then drove to East Palestine on July 13 for the meeting.
A pretrial was set Jan. 22 for Patrick Williams, 34, Sharon, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $200, driving to Salem on Oct. 13 for the meeting.
Paris Ward, 33, Cleveland, was fined $250 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for carrying a concealed weapon. She was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and a firearm safety course. Ward failed to disclose that she had a loaded firearm in her purse during a traffic stop on Aug. 5 in Columbiana.
Keyshawn Royster, 26, Cleveland, was fined $250 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for carrying a concealed weapon. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and a firearm safety course. Royster failed to disclose at first that he had a loaded firearm in the vehicle during a traffic stop on Aug. 5 in Columbiana.
A domestic violence charge was dismissed against Randi Beagle, 32, Denver Street, East Liverpool, at the request of the prosecutor due to the victim’s whereabouts being unknown. Beagle had been accused of grabbing a woman’s glasses off of her face and scratching her on April 25 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Jan. 25 for Daniel Cunningham, 38, East Eighth Street, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly grabbing six donuts, a premade meatloaf meal and a drink, then walking out without paying for the items at the Giant Eagle in East Liverpool on July 27.
A pretrial was set Nov. 9 for Krista Perline, 36, East Main Street, East Palestine, charged with assault and obstructing justice for allegedly assaulting a man with a wooden piece of trim, fake sleeping when police came to the residence and knocked and also hid the weapon on Oct. 29 in East Palestine.
Lucas McEldowney, 33, Penn Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $450 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 88 days suspended and credit for two days served, for drug paraphernalia, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. He was ordered to perform 40 hours community service. McEldowney ignored officers’ requests to pat him down for a weapons check during an incident in East Liverpool on Sept. 3, 2022 and possessed digital scales during a traffic stop on Oct. 18, 2022 in St. Clair Township.
Shelby Fennell, 45, Chester Street, East Liverpool, was fined $300 and sentenced to three days in jail, with credit for three days served, for two counts of drug paraphernalia for possessing bags with a crystal substance and cut straw during a traffic stop on June 2 in St. Clair Township and cut straws with residue and a container with a crystal substance during a traffic stop July 18 in St. Clair Township.
A probation violation hearing was set Jan. 29 for Kelly Hooper, 47, May Street, East Liverpool, for possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia related to a Feb. 23 traffic stop involving several syringes and a glass pipe.
William Phillips, 59, West Grant Street, East Palestine, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended, for telecommunications harassment. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and have no contact with the victim. Phillips sent an elderly woman a photo message of his private parts on June 27 in Unity Township.
A pretrial was set Feb. 5 for Searrah Powell, 21, Aten Avenue, Wellsville, charged with traffic control devices and two counts illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a straw and a baggy, both with white powder residue, in her purse during a traffic stop Oct. 22 in Liverpool Township.
Alex Croxall, 20, Canterbury Lane, Salem, was fined $200 and sentenced to one day in jail, with credit for one day served, for underage consumption for a July 24 incident in Perry Township.
A pretrial was set Feb. 8 for Roni Wafler, 43, Minerva, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Wafler allegedly possessed a metal pipe, a glass smoking pipe and marijuana on July 21 in Yellow Creek Township.
James Ketchum III, 32, Church Street, Salineville, was fined $950 and sentenced to 90 day in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, no seat belt and reasonable control. His driver’s license was suspended for one year and he was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
A pretrial was set Feb. 27 for Michael Bruce, 27, Glenn Street, East Liverpool, charged with OVI second offense, OVI first offense, three counts driving under suspension, reasonable control and discarding litter from several cases. The litter charge stems from Bruce allegedly dumping multiple aluminum cans at an illegal dump on Foundry Hill Road, Salineville.
A pretrial was set Feb. 1 for Joshua Kennedy, 32, Eldersville, Pa., charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense, stop sign and endangering children for allegedly being impaired with a child in the vehicle during a traffic stop in Columbiana on Oct. 28.
Rickey O’Hanlon, 18, Mick Road, Wellsville, was fined $920 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for OVI and left of center. His driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted.
A pretrial was set Feb. 5 for Zechariah Parker, 35, Adams Road, East Palestine, charged with OVI second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and no seat belt.
A motions hearing was set Jan. 4 for Jasmin Young, 23, Y & O Road, East Liverpool, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and speeding.
Amber Allred, 21, Niles, was fined $1,025 and sentenced to 90 day in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for OVI, tail lights and possessing marijuana. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted.
Hayden Cope, 29, Kirk Road, Columbiana, was fined $125 for driving under suspension and license plate light.
A pretrial was set Feb. 5 for Sean Kessler, 18, Pittsburgh, Pa. charged with expired license, no motorcycle endorsement, improper/expired registration and speeding.
Hallie Whitman, 53, Whinnery Road, Salem, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Charles Soliday, 31, Houtzdale, Pa., was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from speeding.
Zackery Strub, 29, Irish Ridge Road, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Justin Ramsey, 28, North Lima, was fined $100 for reasonable control.
