LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a pretrial was set Dec. 22 for Jesse Joe Lyle, 36, Calcutta Smithferry Road, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing a member of the household down, then grabbing her by the throat and arm when she got back up Nov. 27 at their home.
An arraignment was set Dec. 1 for Abraham Alberto Fernandez, 29, Geiselman Road, Minerva, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath .8 grams first offense, no driver’s license and left of center.
A pretrial was set Dec. 19 for Thomas Frederick Combs, 24, state Route 30, Lisbon, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath .08 grams first offense, failure to control and improper handling of a firearm in a vehicle, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly having a loaded handgun between the driver’s seat and center console during a crash investigation Nov. 26 in Butler Township.

A pretrial was set Feb. 6 for Christopher J. Dawes, 42, Ridge Road, Salem, charged with driving under suspension and illegal use/possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing three clear pipes with burnt residue, a baggie of white crystal substances and a clear water bong, as well as admitting to having methamphetamine in a mint container, during a traffic stop Nov. 25 in Salem.

Shingleton, 48, Torrence Drive, Wellsville, charged with resisting arrest, OVI second offense, OVI second offense with prior within 20 years and marked lanes for allegedly being uncooperative with officers during his arrest following a traffic stop Nov. 26 in Columbiana.
A pretrial was set Feb. 7 for Amanda Lombardozzi, 35, Clark Avenue, Wellsville, charged with possession of drug abuse instruments for allegedly possessing several cut straws with residue during a traffic stop Nov. 3 in St. Clair Township in which she was a passenger.
A pretrial was set Feb. 9 for Joshua David Baker, 40, North Jackson, charged with driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set Feb. 16 for Ethan Hunter Smith, 25, Silliman Street, New Waterford, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath .08 gram first offense, operating an all purpose vehicle without proper lights and marked lanes.
A restitution hearing was set Feb. 7 for Brandon S. Miles, 32, Huxley Road, Salem, for a disorderly conduct conviction for passing another vehicle in a no passing zone and throwing an item at the other vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle, Nov. 18, 2021 in Perry Township.
Benjamin James Grimes, 49, Endeavor, W. Va., was fined $600, sentenced to 90 days in jail (suspended), placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and substance abuse evaluation for driving under suspension, improper registration and possession of drug abuse instruments.
Eric D. Barrios, 32, Woodland Avenue, Salem, was sentenced to 90 days in jail (87 suspended), fined $1,000, had his license suspended for one year, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 20 hours community service and substance abuse evaluation for OVI, headlights and illegal use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
Don Cledies Talbert III, 28, Seventh Street, Wellsville, was sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended), fined $350, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and mental health and anger management evaluations for telecommunications harassment and criminal mischief.
Andrew James King, 28, Akron, was sentenced to 90 days in jail (87 suspended), fined $905, had his license suspended for one year, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and substance abuse evaluation for OVI and seatbelt. Charges of speed and distracted driving were dismissed.
Dennis R. Byers, 70, Youngstown, was sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $750, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service, a mental health evaluation and an online anti-prostitution class for two counts of possession of criminal tools, one of which was amended from engaging in prostitution.
Samantha Ward, 37, state Route 7, New Waterford, had charges of driving under suspension and expired registration dismissed.
