POLICE LOG:
Lisbon
— An officer assisted a Columbiana County Sheriff’s deputy in serving a protection order at a 200 block East High Street, Lisbon home at 6:07 p.m. Aug. 18.
— An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation in the 200 block of East Lincoln Way Aug. 17 and seized a small bowl containing burnt marijuana. The driver was issued a warning for the equipment violation and drug paraphernalia.
— Officers responded to the Greenway Bike Trail at 8:37 p.m. Aug. 16 in reference to a man who appeared to be asleep while standing upright hold a dog. Officers were unable to find the man in question.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Washington Street at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 16 in reference to a dog not on a leash. Officers spoke with the dog’s owner and the complaint and advised the dog’s owner to keep the dog on a leash when outside.
— A patrolling officer at 1:39 a.m. Aug. 16 observed two unoccupied vehicles parked on Lions Club Road. Upon checking the plates, the officer learned of a pending medical call for a woman who had fallen off a cliff in the area and the fire department was responding. The officer was met on the Greenway Trail by two women who said another woman had fallen approximately 30 feet and was conscious but had a laceration on her head as well as lower back and knee pain. Medical personnel were escorted to the injured woman who was stabilized and carried to an ambulance, then transported to a landing zone on Dickey Drive and flown to St. Elizabeth’s in Youngstown for further assessment.
— Emma Smith, no age or address listed, was cited speed following a traffic stop on state Route 154 at 4:52 p.m. Aug. 11.
— An officer responded to the municipal court at 1:26 p.m. Aug. 11 in reference to a suspicious vehicle slowly driving around the parking lot. The vehicle had already left before the officer arrived.
— Brandy Elizabeth Sanders was cited for no driver’s license and expired registration following a traffic stop at the East Lincoln Way exchange at 7:35 p.m. Aug. 10 in which a small paper fold with an unknown white powder was found inside a wallet on her passenger seat. Further charges are pending lab results.
— Officers responded to a Morrison Street home at 4:15 p.m. Aug. 10 where the resident reported cameras in her home. Officers were unable to find any cameras in the home and the resident voluntarily left to stay with a family member.
St. Clair Township
— Officers arrested a John Doe at 10:22 a.m. Aug. 21 after responding to the 49000 block of South Meadowbrook Circle in reference to two people sleeping in a vehicle. The passenger identified himself as Robert Johnson, but his identification did not come back as valid. A syringe with a dark amber colored liquid with a bent needle, as well as another syringe was found between the door and his seat. Johnson was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.
— Canyone L. Colson, 24, no address listed, was charged with domestic violence after officers responded to a 16000 block Annesley Road home at 12:10 a.m. Aug. 21 where he allegedly broke glass while fighting people at the home.
— Megan Marie McBride, 38, no address listed, was arrested on an active warrant out of East Liverpool Municipal Court following a traffic stop at 7:52 p.m. Aug. 20 in which she was a passenger. Another passenger, Tyler Jaymes Robinson, 25, no address listed, charged with drug paraphernalia after officers found marijuana on the driver seat and a digital scale with residue that Robinson identified as his.
— A Pugh Road resident reported his daughter missing at 6:33 p.m. Aug. 20.
— Shane S. Williamson, 45, no address listed, was arrested on active warrants out of Columbiana County and East Liverpool Municipal Court following a traffic stop for not using a turn signal for changing lanes and no license plate light at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 19.
— Officers responded to a Dresden Avenue business at 7:05 p.m. Aug. 18 in reference to two shoplifters but the store manager did not want to press charges.
— Robert Barrett, 38, no address listed, was arrested on a warrant out of West Virginia for fugitive from justice following a traffic stop in the 2600 block of St. Clair Avenue at 3:42 p.m. Aug. 18.
— Sarah Jane Crooms, 37, no address listed, was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia after officers responded to the 15000 block of St. Clair Avenue at 7:36 p.m. Aug. 17 in reference to a woman possible overdosing. Crooms was found slumped over in the passenger seat of a vehicle. Crooms denied using drugs, but was disoriented. A search of the vehicle revealed multiple needles, smoking instruments and what appeared to be multiple different drugs. The suspected drugs were sent to BCI for further testing.
— Julie Marie McClain, 39, East Liverpool, was cited for speed and assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash on at McGuffey Drive and Dresden Avenue at 4:16 p.m. Aug. 17 in which McClain was westbound and failed to stop for traffic, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Michael Rowe Logan, 65, East Liverpool. No injuries were reported.
— Megan G. Wilson, 32, no address listed, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug abuse instruments as well as two traffic citations following a traffic stop St. Clair Avenue at 12:19 a.m. Aug. 17. A search of the vehicle revealed bag with a hypodermic needle, a pack of new needles, a stretch band to cut circulation, a broken burnt glass pipe, a straw with white and brown residue inside it, a burnt spoon with white residue on it and inside of a plastic trash bag on the floor was a clear plastic baggy with white residue inside it. Inside the driver side door panel was a cigarette pack with a suspected marijuana cigarette inside it. The items with residue on them will be sent to BCI for further testing.
— Officers responded to the 16000 block of Annesley Road at 4:49 p.m. Aug. 15 in reference to a man and woman having a verbal with the woman swinging her arms in the air. Officers found the man attempting to calm down his girlfriend following a verbal dispute between her and a family member. The woman reportedly punched a vehicle and thought her hand was broken. Medical personnel responded and transported the woman to the East Liverpool hospital for treatment.
— Officers responded to the 16000 block of Parkway Avenue at 2:27 p.m. Aug. 14 in reference to a property line dispute.
Sheriff’s Office
— Edward G. Jacob, Kingwood Drive, Columbiana, was served with a protection order out of the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 17.
— A deputy responded to a impound business on state Route 172, Hanover Township, at 5:03 p.m. Aug. 17 in reference to a disturbance regarding a vehicle that had been towed. The two people in question were told to leave the property and the owner of the vehicle had to come in person to get the vehicle.
— Tommy J. Lemasters, 46, no address listed, was arrested for domestic violence after deputies responded to a 20000 block Malone Road home, Washington Township, for a domestic violence report.
— A deputy responded to the 23000 block of state Route 30 in West Township at 6:45 p.m. Aug. 15 in reference to 8-year-olds riding bicycles in the roadway near Bayard Road. The deputy was unable to find the juveniles in question.
Highway Patrol
— Jordan Lee Gottschling, 32, Salem, was cited for marked lanes following a one-vehicle crash on state Route 558 in Unity Township at 12:40 Aug. 16 in which she was eastbound and traveled off the roadway, striking a tree and wire fence. She was treated on scene by New Waterford EMS for possible injuries.
— Zachary J. Paff, 21, Aliquippa,Pa., was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash at mile post 19 on state Route 14 in Unity Township at 2:31 p.m. Aug. 13 in which westbound and ran into the rear of a vehicle driven by David A. Goodman Jr.,57, Salem. Paff was treated on scene by East Palestine EMS for minor injuries.
— Lucas Grayson Hively, 18, Hanoverton, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash on state Route 172 in West Township at 4:26 p.m. Aug. 19 in which he was eastbound and ran into the rear of a vehicle driven by Janis Marie Moore, 52, Minerva. No injuries were reported.
— A 16-year-old driver of Lisbon was cited for right of way while turning left following a two-vehicle crash on state Route 9 in front of United Local Schools at 12:25 p.m. Aug. 15 in which she was northbound and failed to yield while turning left, pulling into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by William Luther Dolan, 35, Hanoverton. No injuries were reported.
