Liverpool Twp. trustees receive correct price for rental of road sweeping equipment

LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIP — Trustees now have correct prices for equipment rental for road sweeping. Road Supervisor Chris Bosworth this week provided trustees with a correction to the cost of renting a pick-up broom to sweep the roads. The cost is $56 daily, $172 weekly and $456 for a month. The township would need to provide a week’s notice to get it, he said. At the previous meeting, Bosworth had provided a rate of $151 weekly and $937 monthly. Elections board to certify results Tuesday

LISBON — The Columbiana County Board of Elections will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to certify the official results of the May 5 primary election after adding in 28 eligible provisional ballots approved for inclusion. The board met Thursday to handle three action items related to provisional ballots and absentee ballots, accepting the 28 eligible provisionals, rejecting 11 ineligible provisional ballots and rejecting 14 absentee ballots. Winona community asks county officials to fix flooding at park

LISBON — A flooding problem is causing an issue at Glenn Bennett World War II Memorial Park in Winona, with 60 plus residents both past and present petitioning Engineer Bert Dawson to fix the clogged creek that flows through the area. Former stable operator charged in horse deaths can’t have livestock

LISBON — A condition of bond for Heather J. Birkmire, who’s accused of cruelty to animals in the deaths of five horses last year, now includes an amended order for no contact with any livestock besides no contact with companion animals. Previously, the court paperwork for her bond said she’s not allowed to have contact with any companion animals, prompting the prosecution to file a motion to modify the conditions of her $5,000 recognizance bond to include livestock.
