Hancock County looks to consolidate some voting locations

NEW CUMBERLAND – In an effort to comply with a new state law, Hancock County officials are seeking to move several of the county’s voting precinct locations. County commissioners convened in a special meeting Monday morning, voting 2-0 on the proposal from County Clerk Karan Valenti. “We have some locations that are going to be changing,” explained Commissioner Paul Cowey. LISBON — Columbiana County commissioners recently awarded the contract for the East Palestine Train Depot renovation project to Dynamic Structures of New Waterford for $889,545. “We’re anticipating starting work in the first week of July,” Project Coordinator Haedan Panezott of the county Port Authority said. St. Clair Township trustees approve officer’s resignation

CALCUTTA — The St. Clair Township trustees Monday approved the resignation of a police officer. Trustees accepted the resignation of patrol officer Matthew Greenlief effective June 23. Greenlief joined the St. Clair Township Police Department in July 2025. Chief Brian McKenzie said that Greenlief accepted another position and that he is a good officer. LISBON — Columbiana County Department of Job and Family Services Director Rachel Ketterman recently received the John Fisher Service Award, a state honor recognizing her leadership and service in the JFS field.
