Wellsville parking ban in effect on 10th Street beginning July 6

Wellsville Mayor Bob Boley has issued a no parking order beginning July 6 on 10th Street from Commerce to Main on the northbound/right side of the road. This will remain in effect for approximately one week as all the telephone poles on that side of the street are replaced. Crews will need room to drill holes for the new poles. Later in July, poles will be replaced on Main Street between 10th and 18th streets.

County approves property tax relief

LISBON — Columbiana County commissioners agreed Wednesday to give taxpayers who own and occupy their homes a break of 2.5 % on next year’s property tax bill. That’s on top of what state legislators recently approved to increase the owner occupancy credit. “It may not be a lot of relief, but it’s some relief,” Commissioner Tim Ginter said.
