Man accused of running over pregnant girlfriend pleads not guilty to all charges

LISBON — The man accused of causing the death of his pregnant girlfriend after running her over last year in East Liverpool entered a not guilty plea Thursday to all charges.

Cameron Martin, 20, Minerva Street, East Liverpool, appeared while in custody via video from the Columbiana County Jail for arraignment in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court before Judge Scott Washam.

Martin entered the not guilty plea to two counts of involuntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony, and two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, a third-degree felony. The charges stem from the death of 21-year-old Stephanie Householder of Lisbon and what the indictment described as the unlawful termination of her pregnancy.

According to the indictment, the incident occurred July 19, 2025 when Martin allegedly caused the death and pregnancy termination by committing or attempting to commit felonious assault and/or aggravated vehicular assault and did so while operating a motor vehicle.

Householder and her unborn child died July 20, 2025 from injuries sustained in the pedestrian/motor vehicle accident.

In a previous published report, East Liverpool Police Chief John Lane said the couple was having an argument when Householder exited the vehicle and was then allegedly run over by Martin at the wharf. According to Lane, at the time Martin gave his statement, it didn’t appear that he meant to run her over.

Washam continued his bond, which was set at $100,000 cash or surety. Defense attorneys Joe King and James Wise were appointed to represent him, but defense attorney Bruce Williams addressed the court and indicated he was in discussions with Martin’s family members who was trying to retain him as private counsel.

Judge Megan Bickerton was assigned to the case, with a pretrial to be scheduled.

A pair of Householder’s family members were in attendance at the arraignment, wearing shirts honoring her memory.
