Manhunt subject withdraws guilty plea
LISBON — A man who had been the subject of a recent manhunt for making an alleged threat in Lisbon withdrew his plea of no contest from Monday and entered a not guilty plea Tuesday.
Timothy Adkins, 47, whose last known address was East Pine Street, Lisbon, appeared via video for arraignment a second time in Columbiana County Municipal Court for misdemeanor charges of inducing panic and aggravated menacing.
Adkins had already been arraigned Monday, but changed his mind about the plea and was permitted to withdraw it, starting all over Tuesday morning.
A pretrial was set May 2. His bond remained at $50,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim or the Columbiana County Counseling Center. He was also prohibited from having a gun.
According to a Lisbon police affidavit filed with the court, Adkins was at the counseling center off of state Route 154 on April 18 when he made remarks that he would go get his gun and shoot his ex. He had allegedly made previous threats to her in the past. He allegedly told employees of the counseling center that he was going to get a gun and shoot her, then he ran into nearby woods and couldn’t be located until he was taken into custody by Lisbon police Friday night.
