EAST LIVERPOOL – The East Liverpool High School Art Class visited the East Liverpool Carnegie Public Library on Thursday for a tour during which Mary Deem, library director, gave a brief history of the building.

Deem passed out a booklet to the students of the library’s painting collection.

Housed throughout the library are water color and oil paintings by Hans Hacker, local painter and decal artist.

The students used their booklet and found the paintings.

After the students found the paintings, they gathered back in the main lobby where Deem explained to them how to obtain a library card and discussed the different services the library has to offer.

The students wrapped up their tour of the library by gathering upstairs for a photograph before going to the office area to view a Charles Burchfield painting called The Culvert, dated 1920.

Starting at $2.99/week.
