FAO grant funding
The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), in partnership with the Longaberger Family Foundation, is opening its fifth round of funding to support K-12 civics education programming in public schools across the region. Public schools, educators, students, and public and nonprofit organizations serving K-12 students across Appalachian Ohio’s 32 counties are invited to apply for grant funding to support projects and programs that help students develop the knowledge and skills they need to become informed and engaged community members. Requests should be between $500 and $10,000 and will be evaluated based on potential impact. At least $40,000 in funding is available. Additional information and the application are available at www.AppalachianOhio.org/civics. Applications must be submitted online by Tuesday, March 31.
