Hancock County BLS CPR-AED Class

Call the Hancock County Health Department at 304-4564-3343 for more information and to schedule an appointment for the American Heart Association’s updated 2025 guidelines BLS CPR-AED Class geared for healthcare workers from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 12. Cost is $25. Written exam is mandatory. Space is limited. There will also be a Heartsaver First-Aid, CPR -AED Class from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 for $50. Written exam is optional (some jobs/programs require it).

East Liverpool Alumni Association board meeting

The East Liverpool Alumni Association (ELHSAA) convened its bi-monthly board meeting on Thursday, Jan. 29, at the ELHSAA center. President Jeff Kreefer welcomed all in attendance and expressed gratitude for those who endured the inclement weather. The board elected and appointed officers and board seat members. Sue Furman was nominated and elected vice president and Kreefer and Treasurer Teresa Emmerling retained their unexpired positions. Expiring board seats by Pam McDowell and Cindy Hilliard and a resigned seat were filled by Bob Ferello, Cindy Waggle and Len Yanni. McDowell and Hilliard were recognized for their service and unwavering dedication and support of the alumni and community. Discussions were held regarding upcoming year fundraisers and events aimed at supporting the alumni, school, and community’s needs. The next board meeting is scheduled for March 26.
