The Ohio Oil and Gas Association recently raised funds to support students at the Utica Shale Academy. The organization conducted a moneymaker earlier this year and proceeds were donated to the Salineville-based community school, which were used to purchase shirts and sweatshirts with the USA logo. USA Assistant Superintendent Laura Krulik said the clothing will help keep the estimated 150 students warm while gaining their hands-on learning in the outdoor welding or heavy equipment labs or to wear to job interviews.
