Oak Glen High School Lions Club Scholar of the Month
Oak Glen High School Lions Club Scholar for October 2025 is 18-year-old Sarah Robinson. Sarah lives in New Manchester, W.Va. with her parents, Chris and Bridget Robinson, her brother Daniel, and her sister, Theresa.
In addition to excelling in academics, Sarah has made the most of her high school experience by exploring many extracurricular activities. During her freshman and sophomore years, she played on the volleyball team. She is a two-year letterman in cheerleading and is on the competition squad, is an active member of the Pep Club, Outdoor Adventures Club, Book Club, Sewing Club, and Culture Club.
Sarah is the historian for the National Honor Society as well as historian for the Future Business Leaders of America. She attended the Governor’s School for the Arts, the American Legion Auxiliary Rhododendron Girls State, Governor’s Honor Academy, and is a graduate of the Weirton Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program. She is also Oak Glen High School’s Homecoming Queen for 2025.
Outside of school, Sarah is a parishioner of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and runs her own art business. She has won awards for drawings and paintings and has been invited to display her art in places throughout the area.
Sarah’s future plans include attending a four-year college with a major in psychology. She hopes to become a neuropsychologist, specializing in neurological rehabilitation. She also plans to continue operating her business while pursuing her education and chosen career.
