JCPenney in Calcutta to remain open

CALCUTTA — JC Penney released today the list of 138 store locations it plans to close. The Calcutta location is not among those to be shuttered. The four Ohio locations that will close include stores in Findlay, New Philadelphia, Richmond Heights and St. Marys. There is one West Virginia store closing (Martinsburg), and seven in Pennsylvania. By STAN CHOE AP Business Writer NEW YORK (AP) — Stock indexes sank Tuesday after yet another drop in the price of oil dragged down shares across the energy industry. Other areas of the market saw modest losses as investors wait to hear from the Federal Reserve, which began a two-day policy meeting on interest rates. NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. stocks meandered Thursday as the eighth anniversary for the current bull market turned out to be a quiet one.
