Rogers joins HHM in Salem
SALEM -- Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd. is announcing the addition of Kellie S. Rogers as a senior associate attorney in the firm.
Rogers brings more than 20 years of legal experience in workers' compensation, social security disability and employee relations, as well as personal bankruptcy, domestic relations, probate law and appeals. She is based in HHM's Salem office.
Before joining HHM, Rogers practiced with Aronson, Fineman & Davis Co. LPA in East Liverpool, focusing on workers' compensation and social security disability. She is a certified specialist in workers' compensation law through the Ohio State Bar Association Workers' Compensation Specialty Law Board. She has also served as acting judge for East Liverpool Municipal Court.
"Kellie will bring us stronger capabilities in the areas of workers' compensation, Social Security, personal bankruptcy and domestic relations," said Shawna L'Italien, a member of HHM's management committee. "She also brings long-standing relationships in East Liverpool, Chester and nearby communities and is an outstanding person and attorney who will work well with our team."
Rogers received her juris doctor degree from the Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Mount Union.

AEP Ohio unveils new logo, brand identity
GAHANNA, Ohio -- AEP Ohio, a subsidiary of American Electric Power, has unveiled a new corporate logo and tagline as part of its focus on providing innovative energy solutions for customers and communities, a release reads.
"AEP Ohio is investing in smarter energy infrastructure and new technologies to provide better, more reliable service and cleaner energy for our customers. We're committed to developing innovative energy solutions that power communities and improve lives. Our industry is changing, and our customers' expectations are evolving, so we must adapt to meet those new expectations. As we become an energy company for the future, it's time to adopt a new logo and a new tagline -- Boundless Energy -- to reflect that transformation and our aspirations," said Julie Sloat, AEP Ohio president and chief operating officer.
The new logo represents AEP's first logo change since 1987 and is the result of research conducted by engaging customers, employees and other stakeholders as part of an extensive brand review. AEP and its subsidiaries will change logos on their main buildings in the coming months. Full adoption of the new logo will be phased in over the next two years. The Shipyard, based in Columbus, Ohio, worked with AEP on the brand review and to develop the new logo and tagline.
AEP Ohio provides electricity to nearly 1.5 million customers.
CAA assisting in HEAP, Winter Energy
LISBON -- The Community Action Agency of Columbiana County (CAA) is taking applications for Emergency HEAP and Winter Crisis Program through March 31 at the Lisbon office, 7860 Lincole Place (rear). Appointments can only be made by calling the automated scheduling system beginning by calling 844-493-1198. Homebound and seniors (age 62 and older) may call 330-424-4013 for appointment assistance.
A limited number of walk-ins will be seen starting at 8 a.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis. Scheduled appointments begin at 9.
Applications for State HEAP can be completed through May 31. Applications available at post offices, libraries, and utility companies throughout Columbiana County. These must be mailed directly to the address listed on the application. For more information on State HEAP, call 1-800-282-0880.
