Michael Shawn McDowell 1963-2025 Michael Shawn McDowell, 61, of Newell, West Virginia, formerly of Wellsville, Ohio, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, at Knox Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He was born March 29, 1963 in East Liverpool Ohio son of Major McDowell Sr. and Anna (Haudenschilt) McDowell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie; a brother, George McDowell; and sister, Beth Daniels. Mike was a retired carpenter.
