Hellbender Film Screening Series coming to Columbiana County

THE PLAINS, Ohio — In partnership with local organizations across the region, Rural Action will present a 2026 film screening series celebrating the Eastern Hellbender, one of North America’s largest salamanders, and the ongoing efforts to restore and protect Appalachian Ohio’s waterways. Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church on May 26 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding. The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by the CTLG roll call. Pam Fouse gave the secretary’s report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasurer’s report. Both were approved as read. Fouse was the CTLG biggest loser. She was also the monthly biggest loser.
