Submitted material CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia has now released more than $11 million to food banks to prepare for increased demand due to the federal government shutdown. Governor Patrick Morrisey announced Thursday another $2.5 million has been released, bringing the total to $11.1 million. Governor Morrisey has authorized up to $14.1 million to be released as West Virginians go without their SNAP benefits.
