At 10:01 a.m. Friday police responded to a crash on state Route 164 where a passenger was found to have overdosed. The passenger was given two doses of Narcan and revived. The crash was investigated by the highway patrol.
At 11:44 a.m. Friday police responded to a West Main Street address for a possible overdose. Shane Hart of Salineville was given two and a half doses of Narcan, which revived him. He was transported to a hospital.
Regina Minerd, Salineville Road West, reported on Monday someone entered her garage and stole her red Murray gas-powered weed eater, estimated to be worth $100. She told police she would like the item returned in lieu of criminal charges and noted she has a deer camera set to and can possibly identify the person responsible.
County dog warden Amy Dowd and village police went on July 10 to a home on West Main Street where a dog was reportedly found emaciated. The dog’s owner blamed to condition on the dog’s old age. The female boxer mix, about 13 years old, was confiscated by Dowd and nursed back to health. On Monday, Dowd talked to police about pursuing animal cruelty charges against the resident, Errol M. Miller.
