The Saline Township Revitalization Group hosted its first-annual Light Up Night and Christmas Market on Friday 5-10 p.m. at the Saline Township Complex. The outdoor celebration featured the lighting of the community Christmas tree, food trucks, craft vendors, music and a Chinese auction. Santa Claus also made an appearance, and free hot chocolate was offered throughout the evening. In the weeks leading up to the event, the group held a gingerbread house decorating activity on Nov. 23, at the complex. Participants reserved spots for $5, and the completed houses were later displayed during Light Up Night, where attendees voted on their favorites and prizes were awarded.
