City council will meet at 5 p.m. in special session to consider some legislation regarding the city's finances, including the temporary budget, the wages and benefits of the city's non-union employees, a contract extension for Better City, a city audit, employee health insurance, payment of certain vendors and an amendment of the budget ordinance by adjusting appropriations. At 4:30, council's finance committee will meet to consider whether to recommend action be taken on these various measures. Both meetings with be in council chambers at city hall.
