LEETONIA —Lisbon clawed its way back to a two-way tie for first in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference by way of a 67-50 win over Leetonia coupled with a Columbiana loss to Valley Christian on Friday. Lisbon is 13-4 and 11-2 in the EOAC. The Blue Devils were set to clinch on Saturday at East Palestine but that game was postponed due to weather. It will be made up at a later date. ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Saturday’s final game of OVAC Championship Saturday inside the ECO Center is a familiar match up with the Class 4A trophy on the line. For the third time in four years, Indian Creek will take on Oak Glen for the Class 4A championship Saturday night. Indian Creek has been victorious in the last two championship battles, winning 65-46 a year ago for their second title in three years over the Golden Bears. PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike McCarthy hired former Minnesota Vikings assistant Brian Angelichio on Wednesday to serve as Pittsburgh’s offensive coordinator. Angelichio spent the past four seasons as the tight ends coach/passing game coordinator in Minnesota. The hiring is a reunion for McCarthy and Angelichio. Angelichio spent three seasons as the tight ends coach on McCarthy’s staff in Green Bay from 2016-18. Angelchio has also worked for Carolina, Cleveland, Washington and Tampa Bay.
