EAST PALESTINE — Saturday belonged to the Salem track teams. The Salem boys and girls swept team titles at the William E. Ward and East Plaestine Girls Invitational on Saturday at Reid Stadium. The Quakers boys edged Bedford, 86-82, while the Salem girls totaled 119 points to outdistance second-place McDonald with 69. ST. CLAIRSVILLE — East Liverpool senior Maddox Roach is always ahead of the pack. Roach ran away with victories in the 800 and 1600 meters at the St. Clairsville Coach Dave Porterfield Invitational on Friday. Roach won the 800 meters by 3 1/2 seconds with a personal-best time of 1:56.26 after winning the 1600 meters by 17 1/2 seconds in a season-best 4:23.87.
