Quakers move up after Beaver win

Salem's football team jumped two spots in the latest Associated Press Div. III state poll released on Tuesday. The 5-0 Quakers are eighth after a thrilling 33-27 overtime win over Beaver Local last Friday. Salem also sits first in the Div. III, Region 9 computer rankings. Steubenville (4-1) is ranked fourth in the Div. III Associated Press poll. Salem will travel to Minerva on Friday for its second Eastern Buckeye Conference game of the season. Golden Bears pounce on OVAC opportunity

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Five years ago Oak Glen didn’t have a boys’ soccer team due to the lack of numbers. Fast forward to Saturday and the Golden Bears will be playing for an OVAC Class 4A championship.
