SALINEVILLE -- Southern Local’s volleyball team defeated Bridgeport 25-13, 25-11, 25-13 on Saturday.
Kalayah Crute led Southern Local with 14 kills, six points, two aces and two blocks. Katie Kellogg had eight kills, 10 points and six aces, while Natalia Lopez added 11 points, five aces and three kills.
Kiah Sloan had eight kills. Delaney Beadnell recorded nine points and 10 assists, while Eliana Forbes had 16 assists. Raelea Carosiello added two kills and two points.
Southern Local also won the junior varsity match 25-7, 25-2.
Ava Amponsah had 16 points and five aces, while Emma Boyle added 10 points and four aces. Payton Davison had four kills.
Southern Local’s varsity is 5-8 and plays Tuesday at Wellsville. Bridgeport falls to 0-12.
LINSLY 3, EAST LIVERPOOL 0
WHEELING, W.Va. -- Wheeling Linsly handed East Liverpool a 25-23, 25-11, 25-22 loss on Saturday.
For the Potters, Cameron Conley had seven assists, while Addie Jones had six kills. Hailey Board chipped in three kills. Addi Smith had two kills. Kendall Martin had three aces and nine kills. Peyton Tanner had seven assists. Melanie Watson had two assists.
The Potters are 9-2 and are set to host Brooke today.
In the jayvee portion, the Potters won 18-25, 25-22, 25-18. Brilynn Jones had 19 assists, while Katelyn Reeder added 10 kills. Adrian Kendall and Aubrey Quarterman had four kills each. Maddie Campbell had six kills, while Ava Wesney had four aces and four assists.

OAK GLEN 8, WILLIAMSTOWN 1
NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. -- Oak Glen’s girls soccer team topped Williamstown 8-1 on Saturday.
Kendall Krzys had five goals for the Bears. Bailey Watts added three goals and four assists. Amelia Kampmeyer had two assists. Brianna Polly and Angelina Polly had an assist each. Camryn Richards had two saves.
Oak Glen is 8-4 and is at St. Clairsville today for an OVAC Class 4A game.
