Conley serves up a winner for Potters

EAST LIVERPOOL -- Cameron Conley served the first 12 points of the first game and the first 17 points of the third game in East Liverpool’s 25-8, 25-9, 25-9 win over Buckeye Local on Thursday.
Conley tallied eight aces and 11 assists on the night. Addie Jones had 11 kills, while Hailey Board had seven kills and three blocks. Addi Smith had four kills, while Kendall Martin had two aces and eight kills. Addisyn Boyle chipped in six kills. Taylor Loedding had nine assists. Peyton Tanner had eight assists.
East Liverpool is 9-1 and is at Wheeling Linsly on Saturday.
The Potters won the jayvee match, 25-12, 25-17. Ella gunning had 14 assists. Katelyn Reeder added four kills. Lainey Smith and Aubrey Quarterman had three kills each.
COLUMBIANA 3, SOUTHERN 0
COLUMBIANA -- Columbiana’s volleyball team stayed in control of the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference lead with a 25-16, 25-11, 25-20 win over Southern on Thursday.
The Clippers are 10-0 and 7-0 in the EOAC.
Landry Smith had nine kills and five points for the Clippers. Addison Dangler added nine kills and five points. Eva Waller had 25 assists and eight points. Keagan Pruitt chipped in five aces, 15 points and four digs. Ava Marks had five kills and four digs. Lily Jackson had eight digs.
For Southern (4-8), Natalia Lopez had five points and seven kills. Katie Kellogg had six kills. Delaney Beadnell had 10 assists.
Columbiana won the jayvee match 25-23, 25-13. Sydney Schorejs had 10 points and five aces for the winners. Adelaide Garrett had 11 digs. Annabelle Church had nine kills and five assists. Briley Schmidt had nine assists and nine points.
Elianna Forbes had seven points for Southern.
Columbiana hosts Springfield Saturday. Southern hosts Bridgeport Saturday.
BEAVER LOCAL 3, HARRISON CENTRAL 0
CALCUTTA -- Beaver Local’s volleyball team defeated Harrison Central 25-17, 25-20, 25-11 on Thursday in Buckeye 8 play.
Lily Schrieber led the Beavers with 19 kills, four assists, three digs and one ace. Addie Thurik had nine kills, 18 assists, two aces and three digs. Leah Schrieber added four kills, two aces and three digs. Taylor Pease had 11 digs and two aces. Madison Poppelriter recorded two kills and four digs, while Olivia Opalenik had two kills and two blocks. Gianna Congrove added eight digs and two aces, and McKinnley Ferry had five assists, one ace and two digs.
The Beaver jayvees also defeated Harrison Central 25-16, 25-23.
Makayla Jungfleisch led Beaver Local with seven kills, two aces and nine digs. Daisy McKnight had five kills, while Maddie Smith finished with 11 assists. Kylie Gbur added six assists and two aces, and Macie Bourne had one kill, four aces, six digs and one block.
Beaver Local plays Monday at Buckeye Local, with the freshman match starting at 4:30 p.m.
EAST PALESTINE 3, LISBON 0
LISBON -- East Palestine’s volleyball team defeated Lisbon 25-21, 25-22, 25-23 on Thursday.
Gionna Lenigar led Lisbon with six kills and two solo blocks Alayna Householder added six kills and five digs, while Addison Anderson had four kills, six digs and two aces. Bridget Newbold finished with 13 assists and eight digs. Aria Reckner added eight digs and Brooklynn Klein had seven.
East Palestine is 9-4 and 4-2 in the EOAC. Lisbon fell to 3-9 and 1-6 in the league.
Lisbon hosts Carrollton on Monday.
OAK GLEN TRI
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Oak Glen’s volleyball team defeated Parkersburg South 25-12, 24-26, 17-15 before falling to University 25-18, 25-12 in a tri-match on Thursday.
Caetlyn Six led Oak Glen against Parkersburg South with nine kills. Naomi Ayers and Mikalyn Balch had five kills apiece, while Audrina May, Laikynn Eckleberry and Mattie Carney each had four.
Balch finished with 20 assists, while Bryson Adams had 10 assists. Keira Vick recorded 18 digs and two assists, and Kendall Six added eight digs.
Against University, Caetlyn Six had four kills, while Zoey Caughey and Laikynn Eckleberry each had three. Mattie Carney added two kills, and Balch had two kills, 11 assists and seven digs.
Bryson Adams had two assists and two digs. Vick added six digs, Kendall Six had four, Layla Skavenski had three and Ellie Smith had two.
The Oak Glen junior varsity team also split its matches, defeating Parkersburg South 2-0 before falling to University 0-2.
Against Parkersburg South, Lilli Cole had four kills, while Kaia Parish and Elynn Rogers each had three. Theresa Robinson added two kills, and Rogers had seven assists. Katie Kliner recorded 12 digs and three assists.
Against University, Rogers had four kills. Kennedy Staley and Parish each had three kills, while Doedee Woolley had two. Robinson had six assists, and Kliner added 12 digs and one assist.
WELLSVILLE 3, LEETONIA 0
WELLSVILLE -- Wellsville’s volleyball team defeated Leetonia 25-22, 27-25, 26-24 on Wednesday.
Aleena Owens led Wellsville with 10 kills, eight digs, seven aces and four assists. Kenzie Bosco added five kills and four digs, while Madie Drysdale had three kills, two digs, two assists and three blocks. Ella Betz recorded nine digs, three aces and two assists. Jonnah Sears had seven assists, five digs, three aces, two blocks a kill.
