BEAVER SOCCER PERFECT
WEIRTON, W.Va. -- The unbeaten Beaver Local girls soccer team notched its fourth straight shutout with a 6-o win against Weir on Thursday.
Peyton Dunn had a part in all the scoring with three goals and three assists.
Leah Stewart collected one goal goal and two assists, Jansen Ours one goal and one assist, Natalie Woodyard one goal and Tatum Duncan one save.
Teneille Diaz-Wilson made one save in goal.
The Beaver (4-0) will play at St. Clairsville on Thursday.
BEAVER GOLFERS WIN
CALCUTTA -- The Beaver Local boys golf team avenged a season-opening loss to with a 141-145 win Tuesday at Beaver Creek Meadows.
The Beavers had five players shoot in the 30s, led by Andre Wiegand with a 33. Eli Stewart had a 34, Nathan Pusateri 36, Brady McNear 38 and Britton Hickman 39.
Beaver Local (6-2) will host Indian Creek at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Beaver Creek Meadows.
JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL
7th Grade: East Liverpool won 25-18, 25-12 Monday. East Liverpool, Synica Foster 9 aces, Chandler Talbott 2 aces, Kendall Laughlin 4 aces.
8th Grade: Beaver Local won 25-12, 24-26, 25-16. East Liverpool, Taylor Ingram 4 digs, 4 assists, Zarie Foster 3 blocks, 2 kills, Mya Wright 2 kills.
