COLUMBIANA -- The new cross country course at the Ward Athletic Complex suits former Southern Local standout Logan Redfern.
Redfern won his third straight race in the Clipper Cross Country Series on Wednesday night.
The rain held off as Redfern topped the 105-runner field, covering the 1.8-mile course in 9 minutes, 50 seconds.
Malvern High School senior Emma Maher was the top female finisher in 12:32.
Maher ran on the Malvern girls 1600-meter relay team at the Division V state meet in June.
The fourth and final race in the Clipper Cross Country Series will be held on the 3-mile high school course at 7p.m. Wednesday. Registration begins at 6 p.m.
