COLUMBIANA -- East Liverpool’s volleyball team got off to great start by beating Crestview 25-22, 27-29, 25-18, 25-20 on Saturday.
It was Crestview’s second loss at home in 75 matches. A string of 69 straight was broken up last season by Austintown Fitch.
For the Potters, Kendall Martin had 22 kills and three aces. Addie Jones had eight kills. Lillie White had eight digs and two aces. Hailey Boord had three kills and five blocks. Taylor Loedding added three aces, four assists and 18 digs. Cameron Conley had 20 assists and four aces. Peyton Tanner had 15 assists , 13 digs and two aces. Addi Smith had three kills, while Kaitlyn Reeder had two aces.
Bella Ciapala had 18 kills for the Rebels, while Phiatra Bradley had seven kills and three blocks. Kerrigan Miller had six aces and 22 digs. Addison Finch had 17 assists and seven digs. Addison Wendell had 17 assists. Sophia Noling had 11 kills and five aces.
The Rebels won the jayvee match, 25-11, 25-10. Jewlnetta Bradley had eight kills and two aces. Makenna Ray had six kills and four points. For the Potters, Ella Gunning had four assists.
Crestview will be at Salem on Tuesday. The Potters are at Oak Glen Tuesday.

WELLSVILLE -- Wellsville’s volleyball team dropped a 25-21, 25-12, 25-8 loss to Toronto on Saturday.
For the Tigers, Aleena Owens had four kills, while Madie Drysdale added five kills and six digs. Kenzie Bosco had seven kills and seven digs. Jonnah Sears had seven digs and 15 assists. Gabby Carr had two kills and two digs. Ella Betz had two digs.
Wellsville is at Bridgeport today.

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. -- Martinsburg won the Country Roads Classic on Saturday at Oak Glen High School.
Wheeling Central came in second with a 5-1 record.
