Mays plays part in eight Beaver goals

WELLSBURG, W.Va. -- Kaden Mays played a part in eight goals as the Beaver local boys soccer team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 9-1 win over Brooke on Saturday.

Mays totaled five goals and three assists. Cael Dunn, Brody Nign, Deacon Brown and Logan Roberts each had one goal and one assist.

Cole long had four saves in goal and Colt Johnston one.

Beaver Local will host St. Clairsville at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

COLUMBIANA 5, HEARTLAND 2

NORTH LIMA -- The Columbiana boys soccer team upped its record to 4-0 by downing Heartland Christian, 5-2, Saturday.

The Clippers scored three goals in the first half.

Columbiana will play at Girard on Monday. Heartland (1-3) will host Mathews on Tuesday.
