NEW CUMBERLAND, W.Va. -- The Beaver Local boys topped a quad match Monday at Mountaineer’s Woodview Golf Course.
Beaver Local shot a 160, followed by Weir with a 167, Oak Glen 169 and Weirton Madonna 191.
Eli Stewart led Beaver Local with a 37, Brady McNear shot a 39, Andre Wiegand 40 and Britton Hickman 44.
They (5-2) will host Carrollton at 4 p.m. today at Beaver Creek Meadows.
BEAVER 173, SOUTHERN 216
CALCUTTA -- McKenzie Ash shot a 39 to lead the Beaver Local girls golf team past Southern Local, 173-216, Monday.
Brenna Jones followed with a 42, Mya Anderson 44 and Carlee Crabtree 48.
For Southern, Rylee Digman had a 46, Kaitlyn Boston 51, Ava Reed 55 and Ella Roberts 64.
MINERVA 10-0
MINERVA -- The Minerva girls golf team improved to 10-0 on the season by sweeping Carrollton and Heartland Christian at Great Trail on Monday.
Minerva totaled a 167 for a 57-stroke victory. Carrollton had a 224 and Heartland Christian a 230.
Minerva’s Peyton Beaumariage had the low round with a 39. Delaney Sell added a 40, Emery Sell 41 and Savanna Bartley 47.
For Carrollton, Lydia Oboy had a 52, Addilyn Ossler 56, Kali Stutler 57 and Gwen Sergeant 59.
For Heartland, Selah Ciardi shot a 50, Lila Hendershiott 52, Emmerson Prus 63 and Brooklyn Fronk 65.
