YOUTH FISHING EVENT ON SATURDAY
EAST LIVERPOOL — The Friends of Beaver Creek State Park will present a day of family fishing fun starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Beaver Creek State Park fishing pond. The event is in tribute to Doug Fodrey and his family will be there assisting. Rods and bait will be provided. Experienced anglers will be there to help youth fisherman. The event is free. There will be door prizes donated by the Fodrey family. Winners must be present. The drawing will be at 2 p.m. at the covered bridge. No adults are allowed to fish in the designated youth fishing pond. All kids must be accompanied by an adult.
HELP OUT S.A.L. FUNDRAISER
COLUMBIANA — The Leetonia S.A.L. golf fundraiser for the needy children’s fund will be held starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Valley Golf Club. Cost is $40 per person or $160 per team. The nine-hole scramble includes greens fees, cart, prizes, steak dinner and beverages. Call (330) 482-9464 to enter.
RURITAN SCRAMBLE COMING UP
LEETONIA — The Leetonia Ruritan Scholarship fundraiser will be held June 13 at Valley Golf Club.
Tee times for the nine-hole, four-person scramble start at 1 p.m.
Cost is $40 per person, which includes green fees, carts, prizes, food and beverage.
