SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Oak Glen knew it faced a daunting task if it were to repeat as West Virginia Class AA state softball champions on Friday at Little Creek Park.

Logan had served Oak Glen its first loss of the tournament on Thursday with a 1-0 win.
Fifth-seeded Oak Glen (21-13) held a 4-2 lead over Logan in the fifth inning but the Wildcats poured on four runs in the bottom of the fifth and four more in the bottom of the six to end Oak Glen’s run.
