POLAND — Southern Local had trouble getting much going in a 15-3 loss to Poland in a Div. V sectional contest on Wednesday.

Raelea Carosiello had two hits and an RBI for the Indians. Riley Digman had a double.

Addy Martin took the loss with eight walks and three strikeouts over three innings.

No. 17 seed Poland will travel No. 7 LaGrange Keystone on Monday for a district semifinal.

Southern is 6-13.

Rittman 12, Wellsville 10

WELLSVILLE — Wellsville rallied back from three runs down in the seventh to tie the game against Rittman in a Div. VII sectional game on Wednesday, but the Indians put two across in the eighth to win 12-10.

For the Tigers, Makayla Landess had a double and was also the losing pitcher with 11 strikeouts and a walk in eight innings.

No. 16 seed Wellsville is 5-14.

No. 17 Rittman will travel to No. 1 Maplewood on Monday.
