Golden Bears swept in doubleheader
WEST UNION, W.Va. — Oak Glen’s baseball team was swept in a doubleheader on Saturday against Doddridge County.
In the first game, the Bears managed four hits in a 6-1 loss. Sam Jenkins had a double for Oak Glen.
Noah Willey went the distance and took the loss with five strikeouts and a walk in six innings.
Doddridge’s Caleb Sutton and Malachi Kelley combined on a no-hitter in the 14-1 second game. Oak Glen struck out eight times.
James Rohbeck took the loss with four walks and a strikeout over 1 1/3 innings.
Oak Glen is 8-17 and hosts Bellaire today.
