WILLIAMSTOWN, W.V.a. — Oak Glen’s baseball team punched its ticket into the winner’s bracket of the Class AA, Region 1 baseball tournament with a 5-3 win over Williamstown on Monday.

Noah Willey guided the Bears with nine strikeouts, six walks and two earned runs in six innings of work on the hill. James Rohbeck got the save with one scoreless inning.

Camm Dittman had a triple with three RBIs, while Rohbeck added a triple. Josh Maher had a double and an RBI.

Sixth-seeded Oak Glen (12-19) will travel to No. 2 Doddridge County for the next game in the double elimination tournament.

LISBON 9, HEARTLAND 1

LISBON — Lisbon’s baseball team solved Heartland Christian with a 9-1 win on Monday.

Ashton Hinchliffe had two hits and an RBI for the Blue Devils, while Logan Sturgeon had two hits and two RBIs. Aiden Myers had a double and three RBIs, while Mason Jones had a double and two RBIs.

Brady Carpenter got the win with 10 strikeouts and two walks in five innings.

Jack Morgan and Jacob Goehring had doubles for Heartland.

Christian Hamilton was the losing pitcher with three walks and a strikeout in 2 2/3 innings.

Lisbon (14-10) hosts Dalton in a tournament game on Friday.

Heartland (10-12) is at Waterloo today.
