UNITY — Paxton Grimes had a single and triple to help lead Beaver Local to a 7-3 win over East Palestine on Thursday at Ace of Diamonds.

Jhett Boyd added two hits and an RBI. Aiden Dray had a double.

AJ Bowser was the winning pitcher with five walks and six strikeouts in four innings.

For East Palestine, Mason Gorby and Brad Bartels had two hits each.

Mason Gorby took the loss with three strikeouts and four walks in five innings.

Beaver Local (12-8) hosts Martins Ferry on Monday.

East Palestine (6-8) will host Springfield today.
