CALCUTTA — St. Clair Township Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 210 will hold its Fore Cops and Kids Golf Outing on May 16 at Turkana Golf Course. Beavers have quite the week
CADIZ — It was a busy week for the Beaver Local Middle School boys track team.
The Beavers won the Columbiana County Meet on Wednesday and just missed winning the Buckeye 8 Middle School Meet by 1 1/2 points on Thursday.
Beaver Local won five events and placed second in the boys team standings with 109 1/2 points. Harrison Central won with 111 points. East Liverpool was fifth with 72 points.
Winners for the Beavers were Bowie Kinsey in the 200-meter hurdles (28.04 seconds); Michael Luna in the 400 dash (58.18) ; Bowie Kinsey, Bentley Roe-Gonzalez, Lucas Dennis and Boone Kinsey in the 800 relay (1:45.61); Bentley Roe-Gonzalez, Michael Luna, Cal Irving and Michael Volino in the 1600 relay (3:56.60); and Lucas Dennis, Cal Irving, Collin Salyers and Michael Volino in the 3200 relay (9:43.58).
East Liverpool’s Mar’keim Abercrombie won the boys shot put (41-feet-10).
Mya Wright led the East Liverpool girls by sweeping the 100 hurdles (18.16) and 200 hurdles (30.87).
St. Clairsville won the 11-team girls meet with 172 2/3 points. East Liverpool was second with 83 1/2 and Beaver Local was third with 80 1/2.
