CALCUTTA — Beaver Local scored eight runs in the second inning to cruise past Buckeye Local 11-1 in six innings on Wednesday.
Braxton Hickman had two doubles, two singles and an RBI for the winners. AJ Bowser added a single, double and three RBIs. Jett Johnson had a double and Reid Schwerha had two hits and an RBI.
Hickman was the winning pitcher with seven strikeouts and three walks over five innings.
Beaver Local (6-5) is at Harrison Central today.

EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool was limited to one hit in a 26-0 loss to Brooke on Wednesday.
Braden Duke had the Potters’ lone hit.
Donovan Shallcross took the loss with two walks, two strikeouts and six earned runs in two innings.
East Liverpool (2-10) hosts Beaver Local in a doubleheader on Saturday.

WELLSVILLE — Avery Young had five hits including two doubles and four RBIs as Columbiana rolled to a 26-4 win over Wellsville on Wednesday.
Sam Inboden added a single, home run and three RBIs for Columbiana. Ethan Lehnerd had a single, triple and three RBIs. Drennen Bosela had a double and three RBIs.
Leonard was the winning pitcher as he struck out four and walked two over two innings.
Colin Kessler had two hits and two RBIs for Tigers.
Austin Watkins was the losing pitcher as he walked three and struck out one in four innings. The Tigers made 13 errors.
Columbiana is 5-5 overall and 3-1 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.
Wellsville is 0-7 and 0-3 in the league.
Columbiana is scheduled to play Crestview on Friday at Eastwood Field in Niles.

Landen Hefner had the lone hit for the Indians.
Jack Pitts took the loss with six walks, no strikeouts and three earned runs for the Indians.
United is 7-2 overall and 6-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.
United will host Lisbon on Friday.
Southern falls to 3-5 overall and 1-3 in the EOAC.

Kealin Simon had two hits and an RBI for the Bulldogs. Luke Kinkead had a double.
Brad Bartels was the losing pitcher with two walks, a strikeout and four earned runs in 3 2/3 innings.
