Beaver 11, Minerva 9

MINERVA — Mikey Druschel had three hits and two RBIs as Beaver Local bested Minerva 11-9 on Saturday in baseball action.

Jett Johnson added a single and double. Paxton Grimes had two hits and two RBIs. Reid Schwerha and AJ Bowser had two hits each.

Grimes got the win as he went five innings while striking out six and walking three.

Beaver Local (1-0) is at Edison today.

Edison 10, East Liverpool 0

RICHMOND — Santino Auteri had three hits including a home run and three RBIs from the bottom spot in the order to lift Edison to a 10-0 win over East Liverpool on Saturday.

Dre Brown had two hits for the Potters (0-1).

Donovan Shallcross took the loss as he gave up three runs in 2 1/3 innings. He also had a strikeout and no walks.

East Liverpool will be at Edison on Monday.

Tyler at Oak Glen (DH)

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen’s baseball team split a pair against Tyler on Saturday.

The Bears won the first game 14-1 in five innings. Kaden Dragisich had a single, double and three RBIs for the winners. Christian Chappell had a single, double and two RBIs. Noah Willey had a triple and an RBI.

James Rohbeck went the distance with six strikeouts and four walks in five innings.

In the second game, Tyler’s Heath Mason scattered three hits and struck out eight Bears in a complete game effort in the 4-0 win.

Dragisich took the loss with four walks and a strikeout in four innings.

Oak Glen will start a Myrtle Beach trip on Monday.

Oak Glen at Tyler (DH)

SISTERSVILLE, W.Va. — Oak Glen’s softball team scored two 18-0 wins over Tyler on Saturday.

In the first game, Brayley Lash had two doubles, a triple and five RBIs for the Bears. Mattie Carney added three hits including a double and two RBIs. Kylie Robinson had a double, single and three RBIs. Carney threw a no-hitter with six strikeouts over four innings.

In the second game, Carney hit two doubles with two RBIs. Danica Holden had a double and three RBIs and also threw a four-inning no-hitter with seven strikeouts.

Oak Glen (4-3) hosts Wheeling Central Catholic on Monday.
