EAST LIVERPOOL — The East Liverpool tennis team opened the season Monday by sweeping the singles matches for a 3-2 win over East Palestine at Thompson Park.

The Potters will host Poland on Wednesday.

FIRST SINGLES: Brady Dawson (EL) def. Brady Brubakers, 6-0, 6-0.

SECOND SINGLES: Garrett Cooper (EL) def. Kaylee Schwartz, 6-0, 6-0.

THIRD SINGLES: Rowan Stokes (EL) def. Izzy Ratner 6-0, 6-0.

FIRST DOUBLES: Madyson Cope-Payton Miller (EP) def. Hunter Estell-Jude Brown, 6-2, 6-2.

SECOND DOUBLES: Marley Haldiman-Ainsley Evans (EP) def. Logan Cornell-Tyler Ruess, 6-3, 6-2.

West Branch 5, Howland 0

WARREN — The West Branch boys tennis team, which is replacing four starters, opened the season Monday with a 5-0 win over Howland.

The Warriors will host Alliance today.
