CALCUTTA -- Four Steubenville players scored at least 14 points as Big Red topped Beaver Local, 75-58, Friday.
Santino Harvey led the way with a game-high 19 points. Tre'von Wiggins added 17 points, Jermaine Moore 16 and Cole Bowers 14.
Steubenville won its ninth in a row to improve to 14-1. Big Red will host Dover on Tuesday and East Liverpool on Friday.
Six players scored baskets in Steubenville's 27-8 second-quarter run that was the difference.
Luke Rettos topped the Beavers with 16 points. Aiden Dray and Peyton Cowdery each added nine points and Nicolas McKenzie eight.
Beaver Local lost its second in a row to drop to 13-4. The Beavers will host Salem on Tuesday.
Steubenville also won the junior varsity game, 46-31. Jett Johnson led Beaver Local with 13 points and Cash Williams had eight.

EAST LIVERPOOL -- It continues to be a struggle for the East Liverpool boys basketball team without leading scorer Dre'Keim Abercrombie.
Playing for the fourth straight game without the junior post player, the Potters dropped their third straight game with a 61-40 loss to Wheeling Park on Friday.
East Liverpool is now 8-9 and is sitting fifth in the OVAC Class 4A standings with one week to play until brackets are set. Wheeling Park, a Class 5A team, is 5-6.
Tyler Kirby led teh Potters with 11 points, while Nolan Irving added nine points.
Josh Huffman had 21 points for the Patriots.
The Potters host Canfield on Tuesday.

SALINEVILLE -- Wellsville's boys basketball team sidestepped Southern Local 68-50 on Friday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.
Darnell Roe led the visitors with 21 points, while Austin Adkins added 16 points. Andrew Mackey chipped in 13 points.
The Tigers are 7-10 overall and 7-4 in the EOAC. Southern slipped to 2-15 and 0-11 in the conference.
The Indians got 18 points from Jacob McCurdy along with four assists and five rebounds. Landen Heffner had 13 points and four assists. Mason Pitts also had 13 points along with 12 rebounds.
Southern will be at United on Tuesday.
Wellsville is at Leetonia on Monday.

WELLSBURG, W.Va. --Brooke's boys basketball team was a 60-54 winner over Oak Glen on Friday night.
Oak Glen fell to 9-5, while Brooke is 10-5.
Oak Glen hosts Steubenville Central on Tuesday.

Oak Glen 56, Tyler 39
SISTERSVILLE, W.Va. -- Oak Glen's girls basketball team will go into the OVAC tournamnet with a win after downing Tyler 56-39 on Friday.
Oak Glen is 9-5 and heads to Union Local on Monday for the OVAC Class 4A semifinal. The Jets are the top seed while Oak Glen is No. 4.
The winner will play on Saturday in the final at the ECO Center in St. Clairsville.
