EAST PALESTINE — East Palestine’s girls basketball team earned a 42-12 win over Wellsville on Monday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference action.
East Palestine is 2-3 and 2-1 in the EOAC. Wellsville is 0-5 and 0-3 in the league.Destiney Burtyk had 11 points three assists and three steals for the Bulldogs. Alivia Magness added nine points. Jacklyn Ogle had eight points and eight rebounds.
Wellsville (0-5, 0-3) hosts Lisbon Thursday.

LISBON — Southern Local’s girls basketball team is looking like a real challenger for the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference title.
The Indians dominated Lisbon 74-14 on Monday to move to 6-0 and 3-0 in the league.
Katie Kellogg had 25 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and seven steals to lead the winners, while Allyssa Shroades added 11 points and 10 steals. Maddy Jones had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Kalayah Crute added 10 points and eight boards.
Lisbon falls to 4-2 and 2-1.
Lylah Brown had five points and five rebounds for the Devils.
Southern hosts Valley Christian on Thursday.
The Devils are at Wellsville on Wednesday.

The Beavers fall to 1-4. Beaver Local was led by Ally Wright’s nine points. Mallory Miller and Bella McLevey had six points each.
Harrison Central is 3-2.
Beaver Local hosts Buckeye Local on Thursday.
The Beavers won the jayvee game, 21-15. Macie Bourne had eight points for the Beavers.
