Felton gets first win

LATROBE, Pa. — Southern Local High School graduate Riley Felton earned her first win as Bethany College volleyball coach as the Bison defeated Waynesburg 26-24, 24-26, 22-25, 25-18, 15-13 on Saturday at the Saint Vincent College Bearcat Challenge.

Wellsville graduate and Bethany freshman Bella Poppelriter had four aces, 22 digs and eight kills, including the final kill of the match.

In the other matches, Bethany lost to Westminster and Penn St.-Behrend in straight sets.

Warriors fall to Crestview

CALCUTTA– Crestview’s boys golf team bested East Liverpool Christian 173-190 on Tuesday at Beaver Creek Meadows.

Braydon Gilbert and Grant Snyder each carded 42 for Crestview, followed by Derek Duvall with 44 and Caleb Booth with 45. East Liverpool Christian’s Levi Williams had medalist honors with a 41, while Noah Williams shot 44, Landon Kelly 51 and Lucas Balser 54.

Crestview will travel to face Newton Falls on Thursday at Riverview Golf Course.

POLAND — Poland’s boys soccer team beat Beaver Local 4-0 on Tuesday.

Beaver Local falls to 3-2 and is at Union Local on Saturday.

Oak Glen blanks East Liverpool

EAST LIVERPOOL — Oak Glen’s girls soccer team was on the mark in a 6-0 win over East Liverpol on Tuesday.

Angelina Polly had two goals, while Macy Hartung, Cameron Michaud and Ashtyn Tharp added single tallies. East Liverpool also had an own goal.

Oak Glen is 1-4-1, while East Liverpool falls to 1-2-2.

Oak Glen hosts Weir on Thursday.

East Liverpool hosts Beaver Local on Monday.
