EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool’s volleyball team went five to down Lisbon 25-19, 16-25, 20-25, 25-22, 15-9 on Wednesday.

For the Potters, Kamryn Yanni had four kills and 42 assists. Presley Jones had seven aces and 14 kills, while Addie Jones had four kills and a block. Kendal Martin had 11 kills and a block. Ava Green added 19 kills and a block. Hailey Board had six kills and three blocks. Ayla Riggle had five aces and seven assists.

East Liverpool won the jayvee portion, 25-15, 25-22. Ella Gunning had 11 assists and three aces. Coli Spencer had four kills. Lilly White had three aces and five kills, while Peyton Tanner had four assists.

East Liverpool won the freshman match, 25-13, 25-22. Kennedy Talbott had six aces and three assists. Brilynn Jones had seven aces and seven assists. Milani Vantilburg had six kills.

East Liverpool is 7-2 and travels to Beaver Local for a Volley for a Cure match today.

Lisbon is 4-6 and is at Columbiana today.

Beaver Local 4, United 2

HANOVERTON — Peyton Dunn had two goals, while Leah Stewart had a goal and two assists as Beaver Local struck down United 4-2 on Wednesday in girls soccer action.

Emily Saphore had the Beavers’ other goals. Tatum Duncan had seven saves.

Beaver Local (8-1) is at Indian Creek on Saturday.

United is 4-4-2 and will host East Liverpool on Tuesday.
