BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Bethany College junior Cole Dailey joined the 1,000-point club with a late three-pointer, but the Bethany College men's basketball team fell to Geneva, 90-86, at Metheny Fieldhouse on Dec. 17.
Dailey, a 2022 graduate of East Liverpool High School, went over 1,000 points with three seconds remaining - trimming the deficit to two points. However, Geneva hit a pair of free throws to push the lead to the four-point final deficit.
Dailey finished with 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting with a team-high eight rebounds and seven assists in 33 minutes.
He becomes the 30th member of Bethany's 1,000-point club.
For Geneva, junior Jonathan Bertovich from Heartland Christian had three rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes, junior Nick Million from Columbiana collected five points and three assists in 12 minutes and junior Brayden Costea from Minerva grabbed two rebounds in 11 minutes.
