Madonna 60, Oak Glen 59
NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. -- Madonna's boys basketball team got a little revenge with a close win over Oak Glen on the road on Tuesday night.
Anthony Mascio netted a game-high 28 points to lead the Blue Dons to a 60-59 win over the Golden Bears, avenging an earlier loss at home to Oak Glen.
Oak Glen led, 31-28, at halftime and 46-44 after three quarters, the Madonna scored just enough in the fourth to come back.
Luke Amaismeier hit two 3s and finished with 10 points for Madonna.
Oak Glen was led by 15 points from Jered Hissam.
Southern 68, United 47
HANOVERTON -- Colton Soukup's 23 points led Southern to a 68-47 win on Tuesday at United.
Jason Riggs added 20 points for Southern (8-5, 4-3). United fell to 6-9 and 4-6.
Grant Knight had 20 points to pace the Eagles. Luke Courtney added 14 points.
Southern hosts East Palestine on Friday.
United hosts league-leading Wellsville on Friday.
United won the jayvee 44-21. Jason Pratt had 14 for the Eagles. Wyattt Bach added 21 for Southern.
